Maria released a single in the UK last year, but no-one really noticed. It was called You're The Only One, was a surprise small pop radio hit in the US and has deceptively ace lyrics. Her singing is very sweet, shy and Norwegian, which isn't a huge surprise as she is, but it's very endearing. This song, the soon to be released (in Norway, at least) follow-up, has a much fuller sound than YTOO but is even more sweet and lovely. She is musically somewhere between her fellow Norwegian Venke Knutson and Delta Goodrem, and as pretty sounding and looking as them both. Her album is also much stronger and more varied than I expected and well worth hearing.
